August 24, 2011Aug 09, 2011
Attention Girl Scouts, Leaders and friends –
We have a chance to make the Girl Scouts–Arizona Cactus-Pine Council shine, and all it takes is a little help from you!
As Arizona draws closer to its 100th birthday, The Arizona Centennial Commission, the Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism and 3TV (KTVK) have teamed up to launch the Arizona Centennial Volunteer Challenge! The goal of this challenge? That 100,000 Arizona volunteers will log 100 hours between January 2011 and February 2012—totaling 10 MILLION hours of volunteer community service!
Click here to get started. Under the tab titled “PLEDGE,” click on “Take the pledge” and fill out your volunteer information. To update your hours on an ongoing basis, return to this site and under the tab titled “TRACK” click on “Track hours.”
We encourage all volunteers to log the hours you’ve volunteered since January of 2011, and continue to log your hours through February 12, 2012. Our volunteers are the best, and we have no doubt that your participation will shine a bright light on the work of GSACPC and our girls. This Centennial partnership will allow us to reach even more people in Arizona with our message of building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.
At GSACPC, we know volunteers make our work possible. As a partner in the Arizona Centennial Volunteer Challenge, we’re sharing the great story of how you make a difference in the lives of Arizona’s girls. By participating in this challenge, you can make your impact known! Begin logging your hours today!
