State Fair celebrates Arizona's centennial

The Arizona State Fair is starting the state centennial birthday party early.
Fairgoers will be treated to Arizona-themed events, including Passport to Culture and Celebrate the Arizona Experience. As part of Arizona’s Fair-time Birthday Bash, these events will take place in the Arizona Lottery Backyard on Oct. 22 and Oct. 23. The two-day celebration of 100 years of Arizona’s heritage and history will include festivities that feature VIP appearances, historical and educational exhibits, and exciting entertainment.
The fair also has several new attractions, including Our Body: The Universe Within exhibit, presented by Maryvale Hospital andPhoenix Baptist Hospital . This exhibit displays about 200 organs, human bodies and other anatomical specimens that reveal an enlightening understanding of the human body.
Open daily, admission is $5 and children 5 and under are free when accompanied by a paid adult. A separate Fair admission is required.
The state fair is running from Oct. 14 to Nov. 6, and is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays
