Centennial Ride

Country Music Star and Arizona Native Dierks Bentley, along with Paul Yaffe and the AZ Copper Chopper led an entourage of avid motorcyclists on a “Once-in-a-Lifetime” 16 mile ceremonial ride from Mesa Riverview to the Arizona State Capitol on February 11, 2012!

This ride culminated a year-and-half-long tour of the AZ Copper Chopper (Centennial Mascot), which has traveled to every corner of Arizona promoting our 100 years of Statehood. The ride served as a fitting finale to the AZ Copper Chopper’s statewide tour and it truly was an unforgettable moment as the parade of riders converge at the State Capitol – the heart of the Arizona Best Fest Phoenix.

With over 2,000 Pre-Registrations for the event, we were anxiously waiting to see how many riders we would have on February 11. People started lining up at 7:30am for a 10am registration start time at Mesa Riverview and we are thrilled to announce that we had 6,000 + riders!

The Top 48 riders also made an unforgettable parade through the Arizona Best Fest Phoenix at 5pm. Everyone lined the streets as they rode through the event and stopped on 17th Ave, in front of the Arizona State Capitol, where all 48 riders were greeted by Governor Brewer.
