To prepare for Arizona’s 100th birthday celebration next February, the Arizona Centennial 2012 Foundation is starting a statewide children’s legacy project called the Arizona Centennial Penny Drive. Teach your child or student lessons about the history of our great state and raise money to clean and reseal the Capitol copper dome.

Capitol Elementary students joined us in studio to kick off the 48 day drive watch the video and then start collecting pennies. The drive kicks off February 9 and runs through April 15. It’s sponsored by the Arizona Republic, Freeport-McMoRan and Basha’s. Sign up by clicking on links.
